About this tour

I've mapped out this route to make the absolute most of your time in Provence. We'll kick things off in Gordes, starting with that iconic panoramic view over the valley before you explore its charming stone streets. From there, I'll drive you down to Sénanque Abbey for a great photo op, or a self-guided visit if it's open.

In the afternoon, we'll head over to Roussillon. You'll have time to check out the colorful village facades and take a walk through the spectacular Ochre Trail. If we’re making good time, I’ll even add a bonus stop to see the waterwheels at L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue before we head back.

FAQ

Is the Ochre Trail difficult to walk?
Not at all, it's a very well-maintained walking path. You can actually choose between a shorter 30-minute loop or a 60-minute loop depending on how much you want to walk.
Will we see lavender at Sénanque Abbey?
The lavender bloom usually happens from mid-June to mid-July. If you visit outside of this period, the site is still incredibly beautiful and open to view the historic architecture.
Where can we eat lunch?
Don't worry about that—I will give you some great local restaurant recommendations in Roussillon or Gordes based on what you're craving.
